The Fabric Vault – Fabric Collection
Ever since we opened The Fabric Vault, we’ve always believed that choosing fabric is about so much more than simply picking a pattern from a photograph. Fabric should be seen, touched, compared and enjoyed. That’s exactly how we choose every fabric that comes into our shop, and it’s something we never wanted to lose.
Over the years, we’ve been asked time and time again whether we sell our fabrics online. The honest answer has always been no. We simply don’t believe that a photograph on a screen can show the true colour, quality and feel of a fabric.
At the same time, we know that not everyone is able to visit us in Lichfield. Many of our customers live too far away, have discovered us through our social media or workshops, or have visited once and wished they could shop with us again from home.
The Fabric Vault Fabric Collection is our answer.
Each Fabric Collection Pack contains genuine fabric swatches, allowing you to see the colours, feel the quality and compare fabrics together in your own sewing room. Alongside your swatches, our website provides photographs, prices and all the information you need to help you choose with confidence.
It’s the closest experience we can offer to browsing the shelves in our shop, while still staying true to what The Fabric Vault has always believed in – that fabric is best chosen with your own hands, not just your eyes.

How the Fabric Collection Pack Works
Our Fabric Collection Pack has been designed to make choosing fabric from home as enjoyable and as easy as possible.
Each pack contains 80 genuine fabric swatches, carefully selected from our current collection. Every swatch is labelled with its own unique fabric code, making it quick and easy to find on our website.
Simply open the matching Fabric Collection page using the QR code included in your pack, or visit the web address printed inside your collection. There you’ll find photographs, prices and detailed information about every fabric in your collection.
Take your time comparing colours, feeling the quality of the fabrics and deciding which ones you’d like for your next project. When you’ve made your choices, simply make a note of the fabric codes and the quantities you require.
Once you’re ready, get in touch with us by telephone, WhatsApp or email. We’ll confirm availability, prepare your order and arrange delivery, bringing a little piece of The Fabric Vault to your sewing room.
Ordering Your Fabric
Once you’ve chosen the fabrics you’d like, simply get in touch with us by telephone, WhatsApp or email, quoting the fabric codes and the quantities you require.
Before cutting your fabric, we’ll confirm that everything is available and answer any questions you may have. If you’re unsure about how much fabric you’ll need, we’re always happy to help.
Every order is carefully cut by hand, and wherever possible your fabric will be supplied as one continuous length.
If you’d like advice while planning your project, we’re also happy to recommend coordinating fabrics, threads, wadding, bias binding and other sewing essentials. There’s never any obligation – we’re simply here to help if you’d like our guidance.
Once everything is ready, we’ll arrange payment and carefully package your order before sending it on its way to you.

How do I place an order?
Once you’ve chosen your fabrics, simply contact us by telephone, WhatsApp or email, quoting the fabric codes and the quantities you require. We’ll confirm availability, prepare your order and arrange delivery.
Can I ask for advice before ordering?
Of course. Whether you’d like help choosing coordinating fabrics, matching thread, wadding, bias binding or simply need a second opinion, we’re always happy to help. If you already know exactly what you’d like, that’s absolutely fine too.
How many fabrics are included in each collection?
Each Fabric Collection Pack contains 80 carefully selected fabric swatches from our current seasonal collection.
How often will new Fabric Collections be released?
We hope to release between four and six Fabric Collections each year, each featuring a fresh selection of fabrics, exciting new arrivals and occasional exclusive offers for Fabric Collection Pack owners.
What if a fabric has sold out?
As our fabrics are cut from bolts, some designs may sell out. If this happens, we’ll always do our very best to suggest similar alternatives that complement your project.
Can I keep my Fabric Collection Pack?
Absolutely! Every Fabric Collection Pack is yours to keep, making it easy to revisit previous collections, compare fabrics and build your own growing Fabric Vault library.
What should I do with my Fabric Collection Pack when I’ve finished with it?
Your Fabric Collection Pack is yours to keep, and many people will enjoy building a collection of seasonal swatches to refer back to for future projects.
However, if you decide you no longer need your pack, we’d love to give it a second life. Simply return it to us, and we’ll use the fabric samples during our Project Linus sewing sessions, where they’re transformed into quilts for children in hospital and those facing difficult circumstances.
It’s our way of making sure every little piece of fabric can bring comfort, creativity and a smile to someone who needs it.
Whether you’ve visited us many times before or have only just discovered The Fabric Vault, we hope our Fabric Collection brings a little of our shop into your own sewing room.
