About this Lesson
Would you love to make your own fabric storage boxes to match your home, sewing room, or favourite fabrics?
In this practical sewing lesson, you’ll create a sturdy fabric storage box measuring approximately 10″ x 10″ x 7″ high. Perfect for organising sewing supplies, knitting projects, craft materials, toys, toiletries, and all those bits and pieces that never seem to have a proper home.
You’ll be able to choose your own fabrics from our shop, making every box completely unique.
During this lesson, you will learn:
• how to construct a structured fabric box
• how to work with stabilisers and interfacing
• techniques for creating crisp corners and neat shaping
• how to sew accurate seams for three-dimensional projects
• how to apply binding neatly
• tips for creating boxes in different sizes at home
By the end of the lesson, you’ll take home a finished storage box and the confidence to create more in different fabrics and sizes.
