About this Lesson
Ready to get creative and discover what your sewing machine can really do?
In this fun and hands-on children’s sewing session, we will:
- try out different stitches on your sewing machine to create a colourful stitch library
- learn how to use a twin needle
- experiment with zig zag stitches in different widths and lengths
- create a mini placemat using favourite decorative stitches
- learn fun finishing techniques including binding, mitred corners, and the bagging out method
🌟 It might sound complicated, but we’ll make it simple, creative, and lots of fun!
🧵 A brilliant session for children wanting to build sewing confidence while learning exciting new skills and creating a finished project to take home.
What do you need to bring?
Please bring:
- your sewing machine
- foot pedal and power cable
- sewing machine manual
- any accessories or attachments you have
And don’t forget:
🎨 Creativity and a “let’s do this!” attitude 💪

Important Information for Children’s Lessons
🧵 Children aged 8–12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their first lesson. Please book one space only and let us know that an adult will also be attending.
🧵 If your child is older than 12 but may require additional support during lessons, please contact us before booking — we will always do our best to help and discuss suitable arrangements.
