About this Lesson

Would your child love to make their own stylish bucket hat?

In this fun and practical sewing course, children will create a fully reversible bucket hat while learning a range of useful sewing techniques. They will develop confidence using their sewing machine, improve accuracy, and learn how garments and accessories are constructed.

In this lesson, children will learn:

  • how to sew curved seams confidently
  • how to top stitch neat and even lines
  • precision cutting techniques
  • how to improve sewing accuracy
  • how to construct a fully reversible hat
  • how to combine fabrics and colours creatively

🧵 This is a fantastic project for children who are ready to move beyond the basics and would like to build their sewing skills while making something they can wear and enjoy.

As part of the lesson, children will be able to choose fabric for their project from our shop, which is included in the course price.

By the end of the course, children will have completed their own reversible bucket hat and gained valuable sewing experience along the way.

🧵 Children aged 8–12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their first lesson. Please book one space only and let us know that an adult will also be attending.
