About this Lesson

Bunting is not just triangles!

In this fun and creative sewing course, children will learn how to design and make their own fully reversible bunting while exploring different shapes, colours, and decorative techniques.

Children can create bunting for:

🎉 birthdays and parties

🎄 Christmas

🐰 Easter

🏠 bedroom decorations

✨ special celebrations and events

In this lesson, children will learn:

  • how to make fully reversible bunting
  • how to create different bunting shapes and styles
  • how to appliqué letters and decorations
  • how to add simple embroidered details
  • how to personalise their project with names, words, or designs
  • tips for neat cutting, sewing, and finishing

🧵 This is a fantastic project for children who enjoy being creative and would like to make something unique that can be used and enjoyed at home.

As part of the lesson, children will be able to choose fabric for their project from our shop, which is included in the course price.

By the end of the course, children will have completed their own personalised bunting and gained confidence using a sewing machine.

Important Information for Children’s Lessons

🧵 Children aged 8–12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their first lesson. Please book one space only and let us know that an adult will also be attending.

🧵 If your child is older than 12 but may require additional support during lessons, please contact us before booking — we will always do our best to help and discuss suitable arrangements.
